See which insurers are quoting in your area
AutoQuote Insurance lists car insurers currently quoting where you live, with the rate each one is showing, so you can open the ones worth a closer look.
What you get
- Insurers shown are matched to your area
- See the rate each one is currently showing
- Open as many or as few as you like
- Free to browse, with no obligation
- No account and no sign-up to look
Partner offer. AutoQuote Insurance is a comparison marketplace, not an insurer.
How it works
- Open the list
The marketplace reads your general location and shows the insurers advertising there.
- Scan the rates
Each listing shows the rate that insurer is currently advertising, with a short note on what it is good for.
- Open the ones you like
Clicking a listing takes you to that insurer. You can open several and compare before giving anyone your details.
- Finish with the insurer
The quote, the cover and the eligibility rules are that insurer’s, not the marketplace’s.
What to have ready
You do not need any of this to look at the list, but the insurers you open will ask for most of it.
- Your ZIP code and roughly how far you drive a year
- Year, make and model of each vehicle
- Licence details for every driver on the policy
- Your current cover and renewal date, if you have one
What this is, and what it is not
AutoQuote Insurance is a marketplace. It does not underwrite policies, it does not set prices and it does not decide who qualifies. It sells advertising space to insurers and shows you the ones bidding for your area, which is why the lineup is different from one visit to the next and from one state to another.
That makes it useful for seeing who is competing for your business right now. It does not make it a complete view of the market, and an insurer not shown is not necessarily more expensive. If you already have a shortlist, it is worth getting a direct quote from those insurers as well.
Questions drivers ask first
Is AutoQuote Insurance an insurance company?
No. It is a comparison marketplace. It lists insurers that are quoting in your area and sends you on to the one you pick. The policy, the price and who is eligible are set by that insurer, not by AutoQuote.
Why does the list change when I come back?
The insurers shown are chosen by the marketplace's advertising system, so the lineup varies by location, by device and over time. The list you see may not match the one someone else sees.
Does looking affect my credit score?
Browsing the list does not. If you go on to apply with an insurer, that insurer decides what checks it runs, and some use a soft credit-based insurance score. Check that insurer's own terms before you apply.
Do I have to give my details to see rates?
Not to see the list. Each insurer you open will ask for what it needs to give you an accurate quote.
Is it free?
Yes, browsing costs nothing. We are paid a fee by the marketplace when someone uses one of these links, which is how this page stays free to read. That does not change what you pay.
